Privacy notice

Last updated 20 October 2026

This notice explains what personal information Dorima collects when you order, why, and what you can ask us to do with it, as required by the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).

What we collect

We don't receive or store card or banking details. If card payments are offered, they're handled by Yoco on their secure payment page.

Why we use it

Only to process and deliver your order: to confirm it with you on WhatsApp, deliver it or arrange collection, settle any weight difference, send you your order confirmation, and keep the records a business must keep. We don't sell your information or share it with anyone else for marketing.

Where it's kept

Orders are stored in our online order system, which runs on Cloudflare's servers in the European Union (protected by the EU's GDPR, which POPIA recognises as adequate). We talk to you on WhatsApp. When you place an order, a short notification with your name, number, order total and suburb is sent to our own phone through CallMeBot, a WhatsApp notification service, and may also be emailed to us through our email provider. If card payments are offered, they're processed by Yoco. We send deliveries with Uber or Bolt, so the driver gets your name, number, address and pin for that delivery. These providers only process information on our behalf.

To see how many people visit the website, we use Cloudflare Web Analytics. It doesn't use cookies and doesn't follow you to other websites.

On your own device, this website remembers your basket and your order numbers so you can get back to your invoice. If you tick "Remember my details on this device", your name, number and address are saved in your browser too. You can clear them at any time with "Not you? Clear details" at checkout, or by clearing your browser's data for this site.

How long we keep it

We keep order records for as long as we need them for the business and for tax purposes, usually five years, and then delete them.

Your rights

You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it where we're not required to keep it. Contact us on WhatsApp 084 276 1987. If you're not happy with how we handle your information, you can complain to the Information Regulator (inforegulator.org.za).
